Cores e vestidos de noiva nas Bodas de Caná em três pinturas do Renascimento

Abstract

O tema do presente trabalho versa sobre a representação artística do vestido de noiva em obras de arte do movimento Renascentista (séculos XIV – XVI) com a temática das bodas de Caná, trazendo o estudo da simbologia das cores como principal meio de demonstração da construção simbólica desse item, perpassando sua relação com a moda e a história da arte. Utiliza-se aqui a história da arte como campo para discussão, através da leitura de imagens de obras com o mesmo tema, que tragam a representação do emblemático vestido utilizando cores diferentes – ainda que as obras abordem o mesmo tema – e buscando entender sua intenção no emprego delas.

The following research discusses the artistic representations of the wedding dress in artworks from the Renaissance period (14th to 16th centuries), with a focus on the marriage feast at Cana. It examines, particularly through the symbolic use of colors, as a means of constructing the symbolism of the wedding dress, passing through the relationship between fashion and art history. By analyzing the imagery in works with the same theme, this study explores how different artists represent the iconic wedding dress using various colors, even when addressing the same subject. The aim is to understand the artists' intentions behind their use of color in these depictions.
