O presente trabalho aborda o uso de blogs para armazenamento de documentos digitais, bem como a produção coletiva do conhecimento como estratégia de preservação da memória ferroviária. Apresenta a Web 2.0 e seus novos recursos para a organização de documentos digitais. Busca demonstrar as possibilidades de criação de uma memória coletiva no blog Betamemória através da folksonomia. Dentre os objetivos do trabalho estão: a preservação das informações e memórias despertadas através da fotografia com a migração do suporte e, a criação de um blog como ferramenta capaz de preservar tais informações, na medida em que possibilita a construção coletiva do conhecimento. O trabalho propõe, portanto, um estudo da folksonomia para a descrição de fotografias. Pretende identificar as características de um “vocabulário descontrolado” para a descrição de imagens, capaz de desenhar a revoada que é a memória. Como estudo de caso, foca-se nas fotografias de Paulo Nilton de Carvalho, bem como na folksonomia gerada por ele e pelo grupo de ferroviários aposentados participantes do estudo. A coleta de dados se deu com a realização de entrevistas, aplicação de ficha para coleta de termos, observação direta e grupo focal, com o objetivo de obter as descrições das fotografias disponibilizadas no blog. ...
