Políticas linguísticas sobre o ensino de espanhol no Brasil : efeitos do discurso neoliberal

Abstract

O presente trabalho, ancorado nos princípios teórico-analíticos da Análise de Discurso materialista, tem o objetivo de apresentar um panorama histórico das políticas linguísticas referentes ao ensino de língua espanhola no Brasil, realizando uma discussão sobre o funcionamento discursivo de legislações recentes referentes a essa prática educacional. Observamos os efeitos sócio-histórico-ideológicos na produção dessas políticas, atentando, especialmente, ao período que compreendea publicação da Lei do Espanhol, em 2005, até o movimento FicaEspanhol, mobilizado a partir da revogação da Lei do Espanhol pela Reforma do Ensino Médio, de 2017. Com a reflexão, apontamos para os efeitos do discurso neoliberal na elaboração das políticas de línguas brasileiras, materializado através do apagamento da língua espanhola nos principais documentos que legislam sobre o ensino de línguas no Brasil.

The present study, anchored in the theoretical-analytical principles of the Materialist Discourse Analysis, aims to presente a historical overview of the language policies related toSpanish language teaching in Brazil, conducting a discussion on the discursive functioning of recent legislation regarding this educational practice. We observe the socio-historical-ideological effects in the production of these policies, paying particular attention to the recent period of the Brazilian history, from the publication of the Spanish Language Law, in 2005, to the FicaEspanhol (StaySpanish) movement, mobilized from the repeal of the Spanish Language Law by the High School Reform, in 2017. Withthis text, we point to the effects of the neoliberal discourse in the elaboration of Brazilian language policies, materialized through the erasure of the Spanish language in the main documents that legislate on language teaching in Brazil.
