Voz e hormônios durante o ciclo menstrual feminino uma revisão integrativa : uma revisão integrativa

Abstract

Objetivo: uma quantidade expressiva de publicações vem estudando as repercussões do ciclo menstrual na voz, entretanto não são claros se os resultados encontrados nestes estudos são comparáveis e permitam formar um referencial teórico robusto sobreo tema, objetivo desta revisão integrativa. Métodos: foi criada uma estratégia de busca de publicações que avaliassem a voz durante o ciclo menstrual, utilizando as bases Pubmed, Embase, Scopus e Scielo, sem restrição do ano, idioma e delineamento, avaliando medidas vocais em, ao menos duas fases do ciclo menstrual, em mulheres saudáveis. Revisão da Literatura: Foram elegíveis 23 estudos. A amostra de participantes variou entre 7 e 89 mulheres e a idade entre 16,8 e 31,7 anos. As variáveis acústicas analisaramprincipalmente f0, jitter, shimmer e HNR (78,2%) em vogal sustentada (75%) e fala encadeada (26%). Houve variação entre o dia de coleta dos dados vocais ao longo do ciclo menstrual. Conclusão: foram observadas diferenças metodológicas importantes entre os estudos, podendo afetar a sistematização dos resultados e sua aplicabilidade clínica. O estado hormonal deve ser levado em consideração em estudos que investigam produção da voz e fala na mulher. Sugere- se maior rigor metodológico e padronização nos dados em estudos futuros.

Objective: a significant number of publications have been studying the repercussions of the menstrual cycle on the voice. However, it is not clear whether the results found in these studies are comparable and allow the formation of a robust theoretical framework on the subject, which is the objective of this integrative review. Methods: a search strategy for publications that evaluated the voice during the menstrual cycle was created, using the bases Pubmed, Embase, Scopus and Scielo, without restriction of the year, language and design, evaluating vocal measures in at least two phases of the menstrual cycle in healthy women. Literature review: 23 studies were eligible. The sample of participants varied between 7 and 89 women, and the age between 16.8 and 31.7 years. The acoustic variables analyzed mainly f0, jitter, shimmer and HNR (78.2%) in sustained vowel (75%) and connected speech (26%). There was variation among the days of vocal data collection throughout the menstrual cycle. Conclusion: important methodological differences were observed among the studies, which may affect the systematization of the results and their clinical applicability. The hormonal status must be taken into account in studies that investigate the production of voice and speech in women. Greater methodological accuracy and standardization of data in future studies is suggested.
