Abstract in Portuguese (Brasil)
O objetivo do presente trabalho é desenvolver a palinologia d ...

DC., Campsis radicans (L.) Bureau, Clytostoma callistegioides (Cham.) Bureau ex Griseb., Cuspidaria convoluta (Vell.) A.H. Gentry, Jacaranda micrantha Cham., Mansoa difficilis (Cham.) Bureau & K. Schum., Pithecoctenium echinatum (Jacq.) Baill., Pyrostegia venusta (Ker Gawl.) ...

The Bignoniaceae are shrub, arboreal or lianescent plants, distributed in climatic tropical and subtropical regions. They have very distinct pollen characteristics among many of their species, thus being able to contribute with relevant information for many areas of botany. Although common in the flora of Rio Grande do Sul, there are no detailed studies related to Bignoniaceae palynology in this state. Therefore, the objective of the work was to develop the palynology of the Bignoniaceae in Rio Grande do Sul flora to support taxonomic, systematic and paleoenvironmental researches. Starting the study, nine species of different genera were analysed: Adenocalymma marginatum (Cham.) DC., Campsis radicans (L.) Bureau, Clytostoma callistegioides (Cham.) Bureau ex Griseb., Cuspidaria convoluta (Vell.) A.H. Gentry, Jacaranda micrantha Cham., Mansoa difficilis (Cham.) Bureau & K. Schum., Pithecoctenium echinatum (Jacq.) Baill., Pyrostegia venusta (Ker Gawl.) Miers, Tecoma stans (L.) Juss. ex Kunth. The distinct specific characteristics were described, with comparative light microscopy (LM) photomicrographs. ...
