Documentação museológica e SOC: um diálogo a partir da coleção Edson Soares Diniz

Abstract

Buscou apresentar um estudo sobre a aplicação de Sistema de Organização do Conhecimento à uma coleção de documentos mistos, a Coleção do falecido antropólogo Edson Soares Diniz. Devido as características desta coleção, o sistema proposto foi o tesauro. Partiu-se de uma reflexão sobre o colecionismo, Organização do Conhecimento, e a Documentação Museológica, pontuando alguns conceitos pertinentes à transdisciplinaridade do tema e posteriormente apresentando a Coleção estudada. Em seguida apresentam-se exemplos, com base nas informações contidas na coleção, utilizando como modelos de tesauro o site Thesa, e o Thesaurus para Acervos Museológicos. Por fim, conclui-se que apesar das limitações em elaborar um tesauro, específico para uma coleção não institucionalizada, faz-se uma iniciativa relevante para compor um arcabouço maior de informações compartilhadas.

This article presents a study on the application of a Knowledge Organization System to a collection of mixed documents, the collection of the late anthropologist Edson Soares Diniz. Due to the characteristics of this collection, the proposed system was the thesaurus. It started with a reflection about collecting, the Knowledge Organization, and the Museological Documentation, punctuating some concepts pertinent to the transdisciplinarity of the theme and later presenting the studied Collection. Following are examples, based on the information contained in the collection, using the Thesa website and the Thesaurus for Museum Collections as thesaurization models. Finally, it is concluded that despite the limitations in developing a thesaurus, specific to a non-institutionalized collection, a relevant initiative is made to compose a larger framework of shared information.
