Rastreio de diabetes e hipertensão em farmácias comunitárias : atualidade e perspectivas

Abstract

O presente estudo tem como objetivo apresentar uma revisão narrativa da literatura, com a finalidade de trazer à tona os serviços que vêm sendo realizado nas farmácias comunitárias com a contribuição dos farmacêuticos na oferta e implantação de um serviço de cuidado para a identificação precoce e tratamento de diabetes tipo 2 e hipertensão arterial através de testes e questionários com pacientes assintomáticos e não diagnosticados. Foram incluídos artigos e dados que abordassem a perspectiva do rastreamento em saúde no que se referem aos desafios, métodos e estratégias atualmente utilizadas no ambiente das farmácias comunitárias na última década. Em conjunto aos artigos selecionados, para a elaboração dessa revisão foram realizadas consultas em protocolos clínicos que abordavam a assistência farmacêutica no contexto das farmácias comunitárias no que refere ao rastreio em saúde. A busca foi realizada através das bases de dados PubMed, SciELO e Google Scholar, nas quais foram selecionados artigos científicos desenvolvidos em português, inglês e espanhol. Os resultados relatados nos artigos foram positivos em relação ao papel da oferta do rastreamento em saúde nas farmácias comunitárias quando identificado potencial para diagnóstico ágil de pacientes assintomáticos, resultando na redução da morbidade e mortalidade causada pela diabetes e hipertensão.

The current study aims at presenting a narrative review of the literature in order to bring to notice the work that has been carried out in community pharmacies with the contribution of pharmacists in the offer and implementation of primary care service for the early identification and treatment of diabetes type 2 and arterial hypertension through tests and questionnaires with asymptomatic and undiagnosed patients. Were included in this review articles and data that touched upon screening and its perspective concerning the challenges, methods and strategies currently used in the environment of community pharmacies in the last decade. Among the selected articles chosen in this review, there were several moments in which consultations were performed with clinical protocols that addressed pharmaceutical care in the context of community pharmacies in regard to population screening. The search was carried out through PubMed, SciELO, and Google Scholar databases in which scientific articles written in Portuguese, English and Spanish were selected. The results reported in the articles were positive in relation to the role of screening in community pharmacies when identifying potential for rapid diagnosis of asymptomatic patients bringing about a reduction in morbidity and mortality caused by diabetes and hypertension.
