Mediação da informação sobre dados científicos nos websites das bibliotecas centrais universitárias federais de ensino superior

Abstract

Este trabalho estuda as iniciativas de instruções acerca da gestão de dados nas bibliotecas das Universidades Federais de Ensino Superior (UFES) no Brasil. Tem como objetivo geral o levantamento e análise das informações disponíveis nos portais das bibliotecas, e como objetivos específicos, a identificação do conteúdo informacional e a sistematização de informações nesse cenário. A pesquisa se caracteriza como descritiva e exploratória onde o caráter descritivo foi realizado na etapa de revisão de literatura, e o exploratório com a identificação das ações de curadoria informacional sobre dados científicos nas instituições analisadas. A pesquisa analisou cinco bibliotecas com informações sobre o conceito, instruções aos pesquisadores e indicação de ferramentas e obteve como resultado que há significativo envolvimento das bibliotecas das UFES com a gestão de dados científicos e esses possuem critérios próprios de seleção e compartilhamento de informações que regulamentam suas boas práticas na gestão de dados. A pesquisa também identificou a importante participação do bibliotecário nas atividades que envolvem a seleção de informações, e sugere estudos mais avançados no Brasil.

This paper studies the initiatives of instructions about data management in the libraries of the Federal Universitiesof Higher Education (FUHE) in Brazil. It has as its general objective the survey and analysis of the information available in the library portals, and as specific objectives, the identification of the informational content and the systematization of information in this scenario. The research is characterized as descriptive and exploratory, where the descriptive character was carried out in the literature review stage, and the exploratory with the identification of information curation actions on scientific data in the analyzed institutions. The research analyzed XX libraries with information about the concept, instructions to researchers and indication of tools and obtained as a result that there is significant involvement of the FUHElibraries with the management of scientific data and they have their own criteria for selection and sharing of information that regulate their good practices in data management. The research also identified the important participation of the librarian in activities involving information selection, and suggests further studies in Brazil.
