Impactos das importações chinesas na indústria brasileira de vestuário após os anos 2000

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem o objetivo de analisar os impactos das importações chinesas na indústria brasileira de vestuário após os anos 2000, abordando as fontes de crescimento da economia chinesa nos últimos trinta anos, fazendo um panorama da sua inserção comercial internacional. Iniciada nos anos 90 a abertura comercial brasileira provocou uma série de dificuldades em alguns setores da economia que não estavam preparados para concorrer em igualdade de condições com o mercado internacional. O setor de vestuários foi fortemente afetado. Para recuperar-se investiu fortemente em modernização do seu parque industrial. Porém nos anos 2000, com o grande crescimento das importações de vestuários chineses o setor está diante de novos desafios para manter-se competitivo.

The present work intend to analyze the impacts of Chinese imports of apparel products in the last decade,with a look in the factors related with the growth of the Chinese economy in the last 3 decades, and it's relation with the increasing of the Chinese participation in the international commerce. starting in the 90's the Brazilian commercial opening caused a major difficulty for some sectors of our economy that were unprepared to compete in an opened world market. The apparel industry was badly affected. It was necessary to invest strongly in machinery and technology,. to overcame the highest growth in Chinese apparel imports. In the last decade the sector is against new challenges to keep competitiveness.
