Cobranças de pênalti : um estudo descritivo do Campeonato Brasileiro da série A e da série B de 2018

Abstract

O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar e descrever todas as cobranças de pênaltis do Campeonato Brasileiro de 2018 das Séries A e B independentemente do resultado final do chute. Foram analisadas as seguintes variáveis: se o pênalti foi marcado para a equipe mandante ou para a equipe visitante, o tipo de falta cometida, em qual das áreas (grande ou pequena) ocorreu a falta, posição dos atletas que cometem, dos que sofrem e dos que cobram os pênaltis, pé utilizado pelo cobrador, resultado da cobrança, quadrante onde a bola entra, se o goleiro acertou ou não o quadrante, tempo de jogo na marcação do pênalti e, se a penalidade foi ou não decisiva para o resultado do jogo. Foram analisadas e descritas 189 penalidades no total, sendo 94 na Série A e 95 na Série B. Os dados foram obtidos através de observações feitas em vídeos de sites especializados sendo aplicado o índice de Kappa & Cohen para a fiabilidade das observações. Os resultados mostraram que a maioria dos pênaltis é decisiva para o resultado das partidas, sendo resultadas em gol, sobretudo no quadrante 4, no canto inferior direito do goleiro. Na maior parte das vezes os goleiros não acertam os quadrantes dos chutes, bem como as penalidades são marcadas para as equipes mandantes, originadas de faltas dentro da grande área, sendo cometidas pelos zagueiros e por falta do tipo mão na bola. Ainda seguem como maioria: faltas sofridas e cobradas pelos atacantes, chutadas por jogadores destros e durante os últimos minutos do segundo tempo dos jogos.

The present study had as objective to analyze and to describe all the kicks of penalties of the Brazilian Championship of 2018 of Series A and B irrespective of the final result of the kick. The following variables were analyzed: if the penalty was scored for the home team or for the away team, the type of foul committed, in which area (large or small), the position of those athletes who commit, of those who suffer and those who kick the penalties, foot used by the kicker, result of the kick, quadrant where the ball enters, if the goalkeeper hit the quadrant or don’t, time of the match in the penalty mark, and if the penalty was decisive or not for the match result. A total of 189 penalties were analyzed and described, 94 in Series A and 95 in Series B. The data were obtained through observations made in videos of specialized sites and the Kappa & Cohen index was applied for the reliability of the observations. The results showed that most of the penalties were decisive for the result of the matches, being resulted in goal, mainly in quadrant 4, in the lower right corner of the goalkeeper. Most of the time the goalkeepers do not hit the quadrants of the kicks, the penalties are marked for the home teams, originating from fouls inside the large area, being committed by the defenders and for hand touch in the ball. They still play the majority: fouls suffered and kicked by the strikers, kicked by right-handed players and during the final minutes of the second half of the matches.
