A agressão canina é o problema comportamental de maior frequência em cães. Em geral, a agressão se refere ao comportamento ameaçador ou perigoso, direcionado a outro indivíduo da própria espécie (agressividade intraespecífica) ou de espécie diferente (agressividade interespecífica). A agressão canina é o problema comportamental de maior frequência em cães. Em geral, a agressão se refere ao comportamento ameaçador ou perigoso, direcionado a outro indivíduo da própria espécie (agressividade intraespecífica) ou de espécie diferente (agressividade interespecífica). Dessa maneira, existem diferentes formas de agressão e sua manifestação pode ser influenciada pela genética, pelo ambiente, como também pode estar relacionada a anormalidades orgânicas. As informações pertinentes ao paciente são coletadas através do histórico completo, observação do animal e testes de diagnóstico para descartar causas físicas de agressão. O tratamento deve ser feito através de uma abordagem múltipla composta por modificações ambientais e comportamentais, por vezes associadas à terapia medicamentosa e terapias complementares e alternativas. ...

Canine aggression is the most common behavioral problem in dogs. Aggression generally refers to threatening or dangerous behavior directed at another individual of their own species (intraspecific aggression) or of a different species (interspecific aggression). Canine aggression is the most common behavioral problem in dogs. Aggression generally refers to threatening or dangerous behavior directed at another individual of their own species (intraspecific aggression) or of a different species (interspecific aggression). Thus, there are different forms of aggression and its manifestation may be influenced by genetics, the environment, as well as may be related to organic abnormalities. Relevant patient information is collected through the complete history, animal observation and diagnostic tests to rule out physical causes of aggression. Treatment should be done through a multiple approach consisting of environmental and behavioral modifications, sometimes associated with drug therapy and complementary and alternative therapies. ...
