Gestão do conhecimento em serviços de pesquisas bibliográficas : o caso das bibliotecas da área de ciências da saúde na UFRGS

Abstract

Analisa o contexto atual das bibliotecas universitárias da área de Ciências da Saúde da UFRGS e as mudanças produzidas pelas tecnologias de informação e comunicação nos serviços de pesquisas bibliográficas. Pesquisa como as equipes de bibliotecários dos serviços de pesquisas bibliográficas estão acompanhando estas mudanças e propõe a Gestão do Conhecimento como instrumento de aprendizado organizacional e de inovação nestas bibliotecas. O referencial teórico indica as mudanças no ambiente externo e interno das bibliotecas universitárias, a partir dos preceitos da gestão do conhecimento e sua aplicação em bibliotecas. Como metodologia realiza um estudo exploratório de caráter quantitativo e qualitativo. Conclui que ocorreram mudanças nos hábitos dos usuários e na interação com as bibliotecas estudadas e, indica que, o principal meio de atualização do conhecimento das bibliotecárias, é o contato com colegas da biblioteca ou de outras bibliotecas. E, uma vez que, a Gestão do Conhecimento tem como um de seus objetivos a promoção de uma cultura de compartilhamento das informações nas organizações e, como o principal meio de atualização do conhecimento dos bibliotecários é o contato com colegas da biblioteca ou de outras bibliotecas, confirma-se o potencial da implantação da Gestão do Conhecimento em bibliotecas.

It analyzes the present context of the university libraries of the area of Sciences of the Health of the UFRGS and the changes produced by the technologies of information and communication in the service of bibliographic researches. It researches like the team of librarians of the service of bibliographic researche are accompanying these changes and proposes the Management of the Knowledge as instrument of training organizacional and of innovation of these libraries. The referencial theoretical approaches the university library, the management of the knowledge and its application in university libraries. As methodology carries out an exploratory study of qualitative and quantitative character. I concluded that, due the technologies of information and communication, changes in the habits occurred of the users and in the interaction with the libraries studied. It indicates that the main environment of bring up to date of the knowledge of the librarians is the contact with colleagues of the library or of other libraries. The Management of the Knowledge based in the share of information has like objectives the creation of repositórios of knowledge, the facility of access to the information and the promotion of a culture of share of the information in the organizations. The fact of our research indicate that the main environment of bring up to date of the knowledge of the librarians be the contact with colleagues of the library or of other libraries confirms the potential of the implantação of the Management of the Knowledge in these libraries.
