O papel da biblioteca na ressocialização das detentas no ensino superior na penitenciária Feminina Madre Pelletier em Porto Alegre

Abstract

Este trabalho é um estudo feito sobre a primeira biblioteca especial e especializada no Rio Grande do Sul e no Brasil instalada dentro de uma unidade prisional, que tem como usuárias as alunas-detentas cursando Serviço Social. A pesquisa foi realizada junto à Biblioteca Madre Pelletier do IPA. Visa traçar o perfil das detentas que cursam o curso superior de Serviço Social dentro da Penitenciária e mostrar a importância e o papel da Biblioteca na ressocialização desse público especial. Mostra o nível de satisfação das usuárias e suas necessidades em relação à biblioteca; também aponta as dificuldades e os desafios enfrentados pelo profissional bibliotecário inserido nesse contexto. O referencial teórico aborda os tipos de bibliotecas, especial e especializada; comunidades e estudos de comunidade e a comunidade prisional. Faz um levantamento das leis sobre a obrigatoriedade da existência de bibliotecas nos presídios, além de discorrer sobre a importância da educação. Utiliza como instrumento de coleta de dados questionário e entrevistas. A metodologia utilizada foi a de um estudo de caso com uma pesquisa exploratória de caráter quanti-qualitativo. Estabelece também um rol de sugestões para a aplicação de melhorias no uso dos recursos oferecidos às detentas.

This work is a study done on the first library special and specialized in Rio Grande do Sul and in Brazil installed inside a prison unity. What has how the detainees usufructuary. The inquiry was carried out near the Prison Library of the IPA – Nun Pelletier. It aims to draw the profile of the detainees who attend the degree course of Social Service inside the prison and to show the importance and the paper of the Library in the ressocialização of this special public. It shows the level of satisfaction of this public and his necessities regarding the library and also the difficulties and the challenges faced by the professional librarian inserted in this context. The theoretical referential system boards the types of libraries, special and specialized; the prison community and it does a lifting of the laws on the obligatoriness of the library in the prisons, besides talking about the importance of the education. It uses like instrument of collection of data questionnaire and interviews. The methodology uses it was that of a case study with an inquiry exploratória of qualitative character. It establishes also a roll of suggestions for the application of improvements in the use of the resources offered to the detainees.
