O bibliotecário e a 7ª arte : uma análise do estereótipo do bibliotecário no cinema

Abstract

Este trabalho realizou a análise das representações cinematográficas acerca do Bibliotecário. Discorre sobre estereótipos e os relaciona com a profissão do Bibliotecário. Identifica, através da literatura especializada, como a Sociedade vê o profissional Bibliotecário. Investiga se as mudanças na profissão com o passar dos anos são evidenciadas nos filmes analisados. Traz, como embasamento teórico, a Teoria das Representações Sociais, recortes sobre a imagem do profissional Bibliotecário e os estereótipos em relação ao profissional, como o do Bibliotecário e a figura feminina, em geral,e o Bibliotecário retratado no Cinema, em particular. Para isso, analisa a imagem do profissional reproduzida em dez filmes, expondo diálogos que evidenciam o estereótipo existente. A pesquisa foi qualitativa, a partir de análise documental. Conclui evidenciando que o Cinema é um dos responsáveis por perpetuar o estereótipo criado à figura do Bibliotecário, tanto quanto à imagem física, quanto em relação as suas vestimentas e comportamento profissional. Sugere que, posteriormente, sejam realizadas outras pesquisas sobre este tema, ampliando os países de origem dos filmes analisados e/ou realizando uma análise com amostra de filmes nacionais.

This project presents the analysis of cinematographic representations about the Librarian. It discusses stereotypes and relates them to the Librarian's profession.It identifies through specialized literature, how the Society sees professional Librarians.It investigates whether changes, in the profession over the years, are evidenced in the analyzed movies. This project features the Theory of Social Representations, reviews about the professional's image and stereotypes in relation to the professional Librarian, such as the Librarian and the female figure, in general, and the Librarian portrayed in Cinema, in a particular form. Therefore, it analyzes the image of the professional reproduced in ten films, exposing dialogues that show the existing stereotype.The research was qualitative, based on document analysis.The conclusion demonstrates that Cinema is one of those responsible for perpetuating the stereotype created in the Librarian figure, both in terms of physical image and in relation to their clothing and professional behavior. It suggests that, later, further research be carried out on the topic adressed, being able to expand the countries of origin of the analyzed films and carrying out an analysis with a sample of national movies.
