Memórias femininas : a formação da Biblioteca do IAB-RS e a coleção da arquiteta Glenda Pereira da Cruz

Abstract

Esta pesquisa trata da valoração de acervo bibliográfico, por meio de estudos de memória e das interfaces entre Biblioteconomia, Museologia e o campo do Patrimônio. Tem como universo de pesquisa o Instituto de Arquitetos do Brasil, Departamento Rio Grande do Sul (IAB-RS), localizado no Solar Conde de Porto Alegre no Centro Histórico da capital. O IAB-RS possui um acervo especializado em arquitetura, com destaque para planejamento urbano, patrimônio cultural, políticas habitacionais, história da arquitetura, projetos arquitetônicos, entre outros temas específicos da área. Essa pesquisa parte do questionamento de como se originou e está sendo estruturada a Biblioteca Enilda Ribeiro do IAB-RS e quais as possibilidades de valoração da coleção Glenda Pereira Cruz, doada para este acervo. Possui como objetivo geral, portanto, identificar a formação da biblioteca e valoração desta coleção doada, através de narrativas e memórias de interlocutoras. Dentre os objetivos específicos, destacamos: a identificação dos valores e interesses institucionais; análise do ethos, visão de mundo e trajetória social presente nas narrativas das interlocutoras, sobre a formação da biblioteca e da coleção bibliográfica; análise do processo e dos princípios que determinaram ou influenciaram na formação do acervo doado e na identificação de obras mais significativas e fragmentos de memória presentes na coleção Glenda Pereira Cruz. Este estudo se caracteriza como uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, de natureza básica, com objetivo descritivo que utiliza procedimentos de pesquisa documental, bibliográfico e uso de entrevistas não-diretivas, com referencial teórico de Maurice Halbwachs (1990), Paul Ricoeur (2007), Pierre Nora (1993) e Walter Benjamin (1987), abordando os conceitos de memória e lugares de memória, narrativas e o livro como suporte de memória. O acervo doado, complementa áreas de assunto existente na Biblioteca, assim como, oferece elementos que influenciam para uma política de doação de acervos, uma melhor catalogação e classificação de livros, promovendo assim, a pesquisa e o melhor uso destas obras, além de um resgate da trajetória da própria Instituição, da profissão e das pessoas às quais os livros pertenciam.

This research deals with the valuation of bibliographic collection, through memory studies and the interfaces between Library Science, Museology and the field of Heritage. Its research universe is the Institute of Architects of Brazil, Department of Rio Grande do Sul (IAB-RS), located at Solar Conde de Porto Alegre in the Historic Center of the capital. The IAB-RS has a collection specialized in architecture, with emphasis on urban planning, cultural heritage, housing policies, architectural history, architectural projects, among other specific topics in the area. This research starts from the questioning of how the Enilda Ribeiro Library of the IAB-RS originated and is being structured and what are the possibilities of valuing the Glenda Pereira Cruz collection, donated to this collection. Its general objective, therefore, is to identify the formation of the library and the valuation of this donated collection, through narratives and memoirs of interlocutors. Among the specific objectives of this research, we highlight: the identification of institutional values and interests; analysis of the ethos, worldview and social trajectory present in the interlocutors' narratives on the formation of the library and bibliographic collection; analysis of the process and principles that determined or influenced the formation of the donated collection and the identification of the most significant works and memory fragments present in the Glenda Pereira Cruz collection. This study is characterized as research with a basic approach, of a basic nature, with a descriptive objective that uses documental and bibliographical research procedures and the use of non-directive interviews, with the theoretical framework of Maurice Halbwachs (1990), Paul Ricoeur (2007), Pierre Nora (1993) and Walter Benjamin (1987), approaching the concepts of memory and places of memory, narratives and the book as a support for memory. The donated collection complements existing subject areas in the Library, as well as offering elements that influence a collections donation policy, a better cataloging and classification of books, thus promoting the research and better use of these works, in addition to a rescue of the Institution's trajectory, the profession and the people to which the books belonged.
