Drogas : como o tema é abordado pela Revista RADIS? : artigo científico

Abstract

Este estudo tem o objetivo de analisar como a Revista Radis, da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz do Rio de Janeiro, abordou o tema drogas em suas reportagens durante o período 2012 e 2016. Foram analisados sessenta números da revista, dentre os quais, foram selecionadas doze reportagens de acordo com a temática central. Foi investigado quem são os sujeitos citados nas reportagens e a ênfase (negativa, positiva ou informativa) dada nas reportagens a respeito do tema. Embora as reportagens tratem do tema drogas em geral, o crack foi a droga mais citada seguida da maconha. Quando se fala em crack, as reportagens citam policiais e repressão. Ao se reportar à maconha, as questões abordadas re referem à legalização e ao uso terapêutico. A pesquisa não encontrou reportagens negativas, que fossem contra o uso de drogas ilícitas, elas apenas apresentaram as consequências do uso, sem enfatizar a proibição.

This study aims to analyze how Radis Magazine, from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation of Rio de Janeiro, addressed the issue of drugs in its reports during the period 2012 and 2016. Sixty numbers of the magazine were analyzed, among them, twelve articles were selected according to the central theme. The investigation was made to understand who are the subjects cited in the reports and the emphasis (negative, positive or informative) given in the reports on the subject. Although the stories deal with drugs in general, crack was the most cited drug followed by marijuana. When talking about crack, the reports cite police and repression. When referring to marijuana, the issues addressed refer to legalization and therapeutic use. The research did not find negative reports that were against the use of illicit drugs, they only presented the consequences of the use, without emphasizing the prohibition.
