Abstract

Apresentação dos artigos do número 33 da Revista Cena, publicação sobre as inter-relações entre arte e trauma. Entende-se trauma como ferida, violência, derrota, desastre, choque psicológico, choque emocional, sofrimento, agonia. Esses e outros conceitos derivados são do interesse de um arco cultural que abrange inquietações da psicanálise à sociologia, incluindo manifestações de todas as artes e a teoria que é feita sobre ou a partir delas. Implica também a resposta que pode ser dada à angústia. O ano de 2020 trouxe ao mundo o enfrentamento médico, socioeconômico e emocional às coerções sanitárias da pandemia Covid-19, do isolamento social às perdas de qualquer natureza e suas contingências. Em todos os continentes a ansiedade prosseguiu seu curso, acompanhada do necessário amparo simbólico – para o qual as artes, a comunicação e a criatividade contribuíram programaticamente –, mas não o encontrando de modo pleno quando interditada pelo choque ético e moral causado pelo negacionismo e as condutas consideradas diversionistas ou antissociais. Da Peste de Atenas aos conflitos fratricidas do presente, dos textos sagrados ao imaginário pós-apocalíptico em produtos culturais, do eu ao outro, a arte se fez e se faz presente, espontânea ou induzida, construindo mundos.

Presentation of articles from issue 33 of Revista Cena, a publication on the interrelationships between art and trauma. Trauma is understood as a wound, violence, defeat, disaster, psychological shock, emotional shock, suffering, agony. These and other derived concepts are of interest to a cultural arc that spans concerns from psychoanalysis to sociology, including manifestations of all the arts and the theory that is made about or from them. It also implies the response that can be given to anxiety. The year 2020 brought medical, socioeconomic and emotional confrontation to the world against the sanitary constraints of the Covid-19 pandemic, from social isolation to losses of any kind and their contingencies. On all continents, anxiety continued its course, accompanied by the necessary symbolic support – to which the arts, communication and creativity programmatically contributed – but not finding it fully when interdicted by the ethical and moral shock caused by denial and the behaviors considered diversionary or antisocial. From the Plague of Athens to the fratricidal conflicts of the present, from the sacred texts to the post-apocalyptic imagery in cultural products, from the self to the other, art was made and is present, spontaneous or induced, building worlds.
