A significação no domínio do discurso e na relação indivíduo-sociedade

Abstract

Este trabalho parte do pressuposto de que a capacidade simbólica, base da significação, é condição de integração humana à linguagem. A instauração de um lugar de significação na linguagem é explicada neste texto por meio da teorização de Émile Benveniste sobre a atualização da língua em discurso. Por nascer na cultura (BENVENISTE, 1995; 1989), o locutor, a cada ato de enunciação, realiza um acontecimento diferente e novo para fazer a passagem a sujeito e, nessa passagem, registra, no discurso, o modo como se instaura nos valores culturais impressos na língua da sociedade onde vive. Nesse sentido, o locutor se inclui no discurso, implanta o outro diante de si e se situa na sociedade. A partir disso, o estudo procura responder à seguinte questão: como propor um estudo de texto a partir dessa abordagem de linguagem? Para fundamentar a reflexão, analiticamente, é apresentado o estudo de um texto escrito, com a exploração do modo como o locutor sintagmatiza formas no discurso para produzir sentidos para o alocutário.

This paper is based on the premise that the symbolic capacity, the basis of signification, is a condition of the human integration into language. The establishment of a place of signification in language is explained in this text by Émile Benveniste's theorization on the actualization of language [langue] in discourse. Being born in culture (BENVENISTE, 1995; 1989), speakers, with each act of enunciation, perform a different, new event to go through the process of becoming a subject and with this process they register, in the discourse, the way in which they establish themselves in the cultural values printed in the language of the society they inhabit. Thus, speakers are included in the discourse, establishing the other before themselves and becoming situated in society. Based on this, this study seeks to answer the following question: how to propose a text study based on this approach to language? To support the reflection, analytically, the study of a written text is presented, exploring the way the speaker places forms in syntagms in their discourse to produce meanings for the listener.
