Cantos de trabalho das mulheres do nordeste rural : processos investigativos e colaborativos de Renata Mattar

Abstract

Este estudo discorre sobre o tema Cantos de Trabalho das mulheres em suas atividades laborais, especialmente na zona rural do Nordeste, e suas manifestações como suporte emocional, físico e social de conforto, identidade e ritmicidade do trabalho. São cantos de tradição oral fazendo-se presentes nos mais variados contextos, períodos e grupos sociais, cujo recorte geográfico e temporal se debruça, neste trabalho, nas investigações e construções colaborativas promovidas pela artista e pesquisadora Renata Mattar. O interesse dessa temática se origina da mobilização de memórias afetivas do canto intergeracional em família resgatadas com a apreciação do CD Cantos de Trabalho, da Cia. Cabelo de Maria, com pesquisa e coordenação geral de Renata Mattar. Tendo em vista o entrelaçamento dessas experiências e histórias de vida envolvendo cantos de tradição oral das trabalhadoras, este estudo visa investigar como se dá o processo investigativo, criativo e colaborativo de apresentação dos cantos de trabalho femininos por Renata Mattar. Como objetivos específicos da proposta, visam-se: 1) Realizar uma revisão teórica sobre o termo ‘cantos de trabalho’ no contexto da mulher brasileira, em especial nas zonas rurais; 2) Identificar e compreender os modos de coleta, registro e arranjo colaborativo dos cantos de trabalho por Renata Mattar; 3) Identificar e compreender critérios de construção estética da performance colaborativa promovida por Renata Mattar e suas parcerias. A metodologia possui natureza qualitativa de pesquisa descritiva, incluindo a pesquisa documental do CD Cantos de Trabalho, bem como a realização de uma entrevista semiestruturada com a artista. Como resultados dessa pesquisa, constata-se a relevância desse repertório, visto a sua riqueza sociocultural, educacional e musical. Reitera-se a sua importância para a educação musical, no que diz respeito ao resgate e profusão desta manifestação cultural, a partir da caracterização de diferentes grupos sociais em suas atividades laborais e forma musical de caráter coletivo, improvisativo e adaptável a diferentes faixas etárias, promovendo interação e o desenvolvimento artístico e criativo. Em relação a isso, verifica-se que o trabalho de Renata Mattar, através de suas pesquisas, shows e gravações, assim como em suas oficinas de caráter educativo e formativo, vem contribuindo de forma relevante, além de inspirar e incentivar estudantes e educadores a multiplicar e enriquecer o universo desse repertório dos cantos de trabalho.

This study discusses the theme Work Songs of women in their labor activities especially in rural areas of the Northeast and its manifestations as emotional, physical and social support for comfort, identity and rhythmicity of hte work. They are songs of oral tradition being present in the most varied contexts, periods and social groups, whose geographic and temporal focus is, in this work, in relation to the collaborative investigations and constructions promoted by the artist and researcher Renata Mattar. The interest in this theme stems from the mobilization of affective memories of singing passed down by family generations and rescued with the appreciation of the CD Cantos de Trabalho, by Cia. Cabelo de Maria, with general research and coordination by Renata Mattar. In view of the intertwining of these experiences and life stories involving songs of oral tradition by the workers, this study aims to investigate how the investigative, creative and collaborative process of presenting female work songs takes place by Renata Mattar.The specific objectives of the proposal are to: 1) Conduct a theoretical review on the term ‘work songs’ in the context of Brazilian women, especially in rural areas; 2) Identify and understand the ways of collecting, recording and collaborative arrangement of Work Songs by Renata Mattar; 3) Identify and understand criteria for aesthetic construction of the collaborative performance promoted by Renata Mattar and her partnerships. The methodology has a qualitative nature of descriptive research, including a documentary research of the "CD Cantos de Trabalho", as well as a semi-structured interview with the artist. As a result of this research, the relevance of this repertoire is seen, given its socio-cultural, educational and musical wealth. Its importance to musical education is reiterated, with regard to the rescue and profusion of this cultural manifestation, from the characterization of different social groups in their work activities and musical form of collective character, improvisational and adaptable to different age groups, promoting interaction and artistic and creative development. In this regard, it appears that the work of Renata Mattar, through her research, shows and recordings, as well as in her educational and training workshops, has been making a relevant contribution, in addition to inspiring and encouraging students and educators to multiply and enrich the universe of this repertoire of work songs.
