Neste artigo, procuramos relacionar rotinas produtivas no jornalismo e sofrimento psíquico, visando perceber nessa relação um possível fator constitutivo de identidade profissional. Para isso, buscamos identificar esses elementos nos discursos de jornalistas que vivenciaram as mudanças da profissão na transição do século 20 para o século 21 – passagem do jornalismo industrial para o pós-industrial – e que ainda estão em curso. Selecionamos trechos de entrevistas em profundidade realizadas com seis profissionais que ingressaram no mercado de trabalho nas décadas de 1970 e 1980 e que continuam em atividade. Ao analisar as entrevistas discursivamente, observamos que as intensas rotinas e o sofrimento estiveram presentes ao longo da vida desses jornalistas. Apesar disso, a visão romântica do jornalismo é, na maioria das vezes, reiterada, reforçando o sentido de pertencimento ao grupo profissional. ...

In this article, we aim to correlate working routines in journalism and psyquic suffering, with a view to analyze this connection as a factor in the making of journalists’ professional identities. In this article, we aim to correlate working routines in journalism and psyquic suffering, with a view to analyze this connection as a factor in the making of journalists’ professional identities. For that, we have sought to identify these elements in the discourses of journalists that witnessed the professional changes from the XX century to the XXI century – from industrial journalism to post-industrial journalism –, that are still ongoing. We have highlighted parts of interviews carried out with six professionals who started their careers in the 1970s and 1980s, and are still working. After the analysis of their speeches, we observed that intense routines and suffering have been present through their lives. In spite of that, the romantic view of journalism is, most of the time, reaffirmed, which reinforces the sense of belonging to the professional group. ...
