Este trabalho tem como objetivos principais explicar, sob a ótica econômica, a importância da atividade empreendedora para o crescimento econômico dos países e analisar os impactos do ambiente institucional brasileiro no cenário empreendedor do país. A hipótese principal é que uma economia com menor regulação beneficiaria o empreendedorismo no Brasil. Entre os tópicos abordados no trabalho estão o empreendedorismo em países em desenvolvimento, o funcionamento e composição de ecossistemas empresariais, ambientes regulatórios, burocracia, tributação, crédito bancário, inovação e capital humano. A metodologia utilizada neste trabalho é a revisão narrativa da literatura nacional e internacional sobre os assuntos. Os resultados encontrados mostram que o empreendedor tem muitas dificuldades ao abrir um novo negócio neste país e estes problemas poderiam ser resolvidos com mais políticas de incentivo ao empreendedorismo, menor regulação do Estado, diminuição e facilitação de impostos e mais facilidade de acesso a crédito bancário. ...

This study has as main objectives to explain, from an economic perspective, the importance of the entrepreneurial activity for the countries' economic growth and to analyze the impacts of the Brazilian institutional environment in the entrepreneurial scenario of the country. The main hypothesis is that a less regulated economy would benefit entrepreneurship in Brazil. Among the topics covered in this study there are entrepreneurship in developing countries, the functioning and composition of entrepreneurial ecosystems, regulatory environments, bureaucracy, taxation, bank credit, innovation and human capital. The methodology used in this study is the narrative review of national and international literature on the subject. The results found show that the entrepreneur has many difficulties when opening a new business in this country and these problems could be solved with more policies to encourage entrepreneurship, less state regulation, reduction and facilitation of taxes and easier access to bank credit. ...
