Teoria e escrita da história em Walter Benjamin

Abstract

O problema dessa investigação é pensar as potencialidades da Escrita da História a partir do pensamento de Walter Benjamin (1892-1940). Tenta-se entender como ele organiza, tanto no plano teórico quanto no prático, uma historiografia que se coloca como aporte crítico ao modelo da narrativa positivo-historicista a pleno vapor em seu tempo. Interessa-nos perceber o modo como esse filósofo propõe uma Teoria da História que perpassa pela redefinição da própria ideia de escrita da história. A imagem da modernidade no final do século XIX e início do XX é o fragmento a partir do qual traçamos o panorama de nossas reflexões.

This dissertation investigates the potentialities of the Writing of History from the thought of Walter Benjamin (1892-1940). We try to understand how he organizes, both theoretically and practically, a historiography that stands as a critical contribution to the model of positive-historicist narrative in full swing in his time. We are interested in how this philosopher proposes a Theory of History that permeates the redefinition of the very idea of writing history. The image of modernity in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries is the fragment from which we draw the panorama of our reflections.
