Música de quarto : lo-fi hip hop

Abstract

O presente trabalho relata o processo de criação do Ep Música de Quarto que está associado ao gênero Lo-fi Hip Hop. O autor relata por meio dos processos da pesquisa artística, os dilemas, os desafios, as contradições de como fazer, pensar e distribuir um álbum do gênero Lo-fi Hip Hop. O trabalho apresenta uma definição do gênero musical investigado, tendo em vista que sua bibliografia é escassa no meio acadêmico. Essa definição foi pensada com base em vivências junto ao gênero (composição, audição e leitura). O trabalho apresenta, ainda, o autor como artista nesse momento de sua vida, finalizando o curso de Bacharelado em Música Popular da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).

This paper reports on the process of creating the Ep Música de Quarto that is associated with the genre Lo-fi Hip Hop. The author reports through the processes of artistic research, the dilemmas, the challenges, the contradictions of how to make, think and distribute an album of the genre Lo-fi Hip Hop. The work presents a definition of the musical genre investigated, considering that its bibliography is scarce in the academic environment. This definition was thought based on experiences with the genre (composition, listening and reading). The work also presents the author as an artist at this moment in his life, finishing the Bachelor of Popular Music course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
