Os sujeitos da Educação de Jovens e Adultos da Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Estado de Santa Catarina, Imbé/RS : um olhar sobre ensinar e aprender Ciências

Abstract

O presente estudo busca conhecer os sujeitos (estudantes e professores) da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) da Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Estado de Santa Catarina de Imbé/RS na relação com o ensinar e aprender ciências. Objetivou-se buscar respostas para uma análise sobre a metodologia dos professores de ciências, se estes contemplam as ansiedades dos estudantes contextualizando saberes empíricos aos saberes científicos, se utilizando da pesquisa científica e se os estudantes se sentem motivados e inseridos satisfatoriamente no processo ensino-aprendizagem. A pesquisa utilizou-se de questionários e observação participante com os estudantes nos períodos das aulas de Ciências. A análise dessa investigação indica que os estudantes priorizam a contextualização dos conteúdos com suas realidades para compreenderem melhor o ensinar e aprender Ciências. Ressaltaram que a pesquisa científica precisa ser mais explorada nas aulas. Os estudantes demonstraram que não pretendem mudanças no currículo escolar, que pode ficar como está. Apesar do foco da pesquisa não ser referente ao trabalho, observou-se que a maioria deseja terminar rápido seus estudos para ter acesso com melhores condições ao mundo do trabalho.

The present study get to know the subjects (students and teachers) of Youth and Adult Education of Estado de Santa Catarina Municipal School, In Imbé RS, in relation to teaching and learning Sciences. The objective was to seek answers for an analysis of the methodology of Science Teacher’s, if they contemplate the anxieties of the students, contextualizing empirical knowledge to scientific knowledge, using scientific research and if the students feel motivated to be inserted satisfactorily in the teaching-learning process. The research was based on questionnaires and participatory observation with students during science classes. The analysis of this research indicates that the students prioritize the contextualization of the contents with their realities so that the science education becomes more understandable. They emphasized that scientific research needs to be further explored in class. Students have demonstrated that they do not want changes in the school curriculum. Although the focus of the research is not referring to the labor market, it was observed that the majority want to finish their studies quickly in order to have access to the labor market in better conditions.
