Maria Lídia Magliani : uma trajetória possível

Abstract

Propõe-se através do presente trabalho mapear a trajetória da artista pelotense Maria Lídia Magliani, que trabalhou com artes visuais, entre outros ofícios, de 1960 a 2012, constituindo numerosa produção. “Uma trajetória possível” é subtítulo escolhido, pois analisa seu percurso no campo artístico a partir de recortes acerca da obra, mudanças e transições que no conjunto se mostraram mais significativas. A partir de narrativa cronológica, consideram-se as obras, suas mudanças ao longo do tempo em temática, formalidades e valores plástico-visuais, considerações acerca da circulação destas obras dentro do sistema artístico nos diferentes locais onde a artista residiu e trabalhou, bem como a inserção da própria artista neste sistema, o que acarreta em reflexões a respeito de sua incorporação historiográfica e da institucionalização de seu trabalho.

The present work maps the artistic trajectory of Maria Lídia Magliani, a native citizen from Pelotas, RS, Brazil. From 1960 to 2012, Maria Lídia worked with the visual arts besides many other occupations, constituting a vast artistic production. “A possible trajectory” are the words chosen to name this work since it analyzes her path in the artistic field from the perspective of her artwork, the changes and transitions that were considered most significant. In a chronological narrative, through the analysis of Maria Lídia’s pieces, we observe transformations concerning themes, formalities and plastic-visual values. Also, consider the circulation of these artworks within the artistic environment in the distinct places where the artist has lived and worked, as well as the insertion of the artist herself in this environment, which aroused reflections on her incorporation on the historiography and the institutionalization of her work.
