Andréa Brächer : Lilith, o irrevelável e ambíguo do desejo

Abstract

O artigo tem como foco de reflexão a série fotográfica Lilith (2008), produzida pela artista visual brasileira Andréa Bracher (Porto Alegre, 196 9 ). Na série, composta por 10 imagens fotográficas em negativo vermelho, a artista se apropria e ressignifica imagens de crianças mortas, fotografadas como se vivas estivessem. De forma metafórica, as ambiguidades que permeiam a maternidade e os sentimentos contraditórios da mulher em relação a sua prole são problematizados. O suporte teórico para discutir tais questões vem de autores como Fernandes (2006); Laraia (1997); Trama (2016) e Parker (1997).

The article focuses on the Lilith photography series (1oo8), produced by Brazilian visual artistAndréa Briicher (Porto Alegre, 1969). In the series, composed ofw photographic images in red negative, the artist appropriates and re-signifies images of dead children, photographed as ifthey were ative. Metaphorically, the ambiguities that permeate motherhood and the contradictory feelings ofwomen in relation to their offipring are problematized. The theoretical support for discussing such questions comes from authors such as Fernandes (2oo6); Laraia (1997); Trama (2016) and Parker (1997).
