| pt |
dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study was to evaluate the marginal adaptation of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA - Angelus ®) and glass ionomer (Vitremer) inserted into cervical perforations with or without the aid of operating microscope (OM). Perforations were made in the cervical third of buccal wall of the root canal in 40 mandibular incisors. Next, the teeth were divided into four groups (n = 10): G1 - MTA Angelus without OM; G2 - Vitremer without OM; G3 - MTA Angelus with OM; G4 - Vitremer with OM. The perforations were sealed according with the experimental group and the teeth were prepared for analysis by confocal laser scanning microscope. Images of perforation region(1024X) were made and the gap presented by the materials (in micrometers) was measured using the Image J program. For the comparison between groups, the Kruskal Wallis and Dunn tests (α = 0.05) were employed. The results showed lower gap in the interface dentin/material in G4 compared to the other groups (p <0,05). It was concluded that the use of operative microscope improved the quality of cervical perforations sealing with Vitremer, being indicated in clinical situations of iatrogenic cervical perforations occurred during endodontic access. | en |
