Lei 10.639/2003 e a literatura infantil de cultura africana e afro-brasileira : um estudo sobre o acervo distribuído pelo Programa Nacional Biblioteca da Escola (PNBE)

Abstract

Esta pesquisa investiga a presença dos conteúdos de cultura afro-brasileira e africana nos livros infantis dos acervos selecionados para o PNBE. A questão de pesquisa que motiva o estudo é: Como se dá a presença dos conteúdos da cultura africana e afro-brasileira nos livros infantis distribuídos às bibliotecas escolares públicas através do Programa Nacional Biblioteca na Escola (PNBE) em consonância com a Lei 10.639/2003? Tem como objetivo geral mapear os livros de literatura infantil distribuídos pelo Programa Nacional Biblioteca da Escola (PNBE) nas edições de 2008, 2010 e 2012 direcionadas para o ensino fundamental e educação infantil em consonância com a Lei. 10.639/2003. Dentre os objetivos específicos, busca: a) Identificar nas listas do Programa Nacional Biblioteca na Escola (PNBE) a quantidade de obras com conteúdo da cultura africana e afro-brasileira que foram distribuídas para a educação infantil e ensino fundamental das escolas públicas do país; b) Listar as obras de cultura africana e afro-brasileira distribuídas para a educação infantil e ensino fundamental das escolas públicas; c) A partir das listas, selecionar e analisar o enredo, os personagens e o contexto de três obras de narrativa infantil que estão em consonância com a Lei 10.639/2003. Pesquisa exploratória de abordagem qualitativa utiliza como instrumentos para coleta de dados a pesquisa documental para o levantamento de informações em sites oficiais do Programa Nacional Biblioteca na Escola. Para análise dos dados aplica a análise de conteúdo para identificar as obras que estão em consonância com a Lei 10.639/2003, seleciona três títulos de literatura infantil dentro da temática pesquisada para verificar e descrever os aspectos representativos de cultura afro-brasileira e africana. Conclui que das listas analisadas, encontrou-se 33 livros de literatura infantil em que há personagens negros em contextos diversos e narrativas de cultura afro-brasileira e africana. Deste total, identificou-se obras de estilos e narrativas variadas: mitos, lendas, contos e narrativas infantis sobre a cultura africana e povos originários. As três obras de narrativa infantil analisadas, Chuva de Manga, Betina e Lila e o Segredo da Chuva evidenciam a cultura africana e afro-brasileira através de personagens negros que assumem o papel de protagonistas diante de contextos e situações vivenciadas no cotidiano.

This research investigate the presence of the contents of Afro-Brazilian and African culture in the children's books of the collections selected for the PNBE. The research question that motivates the study is: How is the presence of the contents of African and Afro-Brazilian culture in children's books distributed to public school libraries through the National Library in the School Program (PNBE) in line with Law 10.639 / 2003. Its general objective is to map the books of children's literature distributed by the National Library of the School Program (PNBE) in the editions of 2008, 2010 and 2012 aimed at elementary education and early childhood education in accordance with Law 10.639 / 2003. Among to the specific objectives, there are: a) Identify in the lists of the National Library-in-School Program (PNBE) the number of works with African and Afro-Brazilian culture contents that were distributed to children's education and basic education in the country's public schools; African and Afro-Brazilian education for primary and secondary education; c) From the lists, select and analyze the plot, characters and context of three children's narrative works that are in line with Law 10.639 / 2003. The exploratory research of qualitative approach uses as instruments for data collection the documentary research for the collection of information on official sites of the National Library in School Program. To analyze the data, the content analysis is applied to identify the works that are in accordance with Law 10.639 / 2003, selecting three titles of children's literature within the researched topic to verify and describe the representative aspects of Afro-Brazilian and African culture. It concludes that of the analyzed lists, found 35 books of children's literature in which there are black characters in diverse contexts and narratives of Afro-Brazilian and African culture. From this total, works of varied styles and narratives were identified: myths, legends, tales and children's narratives about African culture and indigenous peoples. The three children's narrative works analyzed, Chuva de Manga, Betina and Lila, and O Segredo da Chuva show the African and Afro-Brazilian culture through black characters who take on the role of protagonists in the contexts and situations experienced in everyday life.
