Poesia itinerante do Trem da Serra

Abstract

O presente artigo analisa a obra Trem da Serra (1928), de Ernani Fornari. O ponto de partida é o problema das diferentes manifestações modernistas no Brasil, na década de 20. A leitura da obra parte de outras expressões de poesia itinerante, que incorporam trens ou automóveis. Questiona-se, então, o olhar do eu lírico que, desde o trem, harmoniza o imigrante europeu e o habitante local, a modernidade e a tradição, a urbanidade e a vida rural.

The present article analyses Ernani Fornari’s work, Trem da Serra – Sierra Train – (1928). The starting point is the problem of the different manifestations of the modernists in Brazil, in the 20s. The reading of this work begins in the other expressions of itinerant poetry, that incorporates trains or automobiles. It is questioned, then, the lyrical look that, since the train, harmonizes the european immigrant e the local habitant, the modern and the tradition, the urban and the rural life.
