The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-reflection, insight, ruminative thinking, reflective thinking and satisfaction with life. According to the literature, ruminative thinking style and insight are inversely associated with satisfaction with life. According to the literature, ruminative thinking style and insight are inversely associated with satisfaction with life. Correlations between the scales demonstrated the consistency between the findings and the theoretical expectations. The thinking style was denoted as an influencing factor in the perception of satisfaction with life and well-being. These relations could contribute to the development of interventions focused on the modification of thinking styles, since these have higher flexibility compared to personality factors in general. ...
