dc.description.abstractThe construction of a Portuguese teaching program to promote citizenship needs a political decision to guide teachers and students towards a new relationship between the language they speak and the language they need to write. Learners are entitled to reading and writing for meaningful production, and to the command of expressive resources historically built in the Portuguese language, and that is the task of the Portuguese teacher. The guidelines for that goal are provided by the process of acquiring language and grasping reality has to do with Brazilian lliterature.en
