The geophysical methods aim at the indirect identification of underground lithologies through the physical properties of rocks. However, the application of geophysics in mineral prospecting is still scarce in Brazil. The Galena Mine, in the region of Amaral Ferrador, southeast of Rio Grande do Sul, is characterized as a low sulfidation epithermal deposit. Previous studies have suggested that it is a shallow system with mineralization hosted in a heterogeneous Monzogranite with a possible thermal contribution of Cerro Grande Porphyritic Riolite, located in the south of the Mine. Based on that, aero-geophysical analysis was performed in the region through the methods of gamma spectrometry and magnetometry and verified the need for a higher resolution, the ground survey was carried out using the same techniques. After the data processing and based on the analysis of the magnetic Total Field maps together with the ternary RGB map color composition, it was possible to split the area into distinct domains in which the radiometric domains A, B and C correspond to the magnetic domain A which is an area with low to intermediate magnetization and high post-grade values and where the hydrothermal alteration is seen in the map of Fator F. The magnetic domain D corresponds to the radiometric domain C, with high eTh value and very high magnetization, in the southern region of the area, represented by Cerro Grande Cerro Riolite. The analysis of the set of filters generated on magnetic data allowed the identification of five other regions of prospective interest: three of shallow sources and two of deeper ones. The study of the radial power spectrum averally suggests that the outbreaks are in an interval of 20 to 35 meters and the deep ones to 65 meters. Finally, a geophysical model of the area was constructed that allowed to visualize the anomalous points, being possible to determine the position and orientation of the anomalous sources and it was also possible to identify probable Porfiritic Riolito mineralized feeder channels in the eastern portion of the area. This corroborates the hypotheses of the previous works that the Riolito could have contributed to the introduction of the fluids of the system of mineralization of Amaral Ferrador being also the possible source of thermal energy of this system.en
