A posposição do sujeito ao verbo no português falado no Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

Analisando dados do VARSUL, investiga-se a ordem Verbo-Sujeito na fala do Rio Grande do Sul, considerando Porto Alegre e três comunidade em que há línguas em contato: São Borja (Português/Espanhol), Panambi (Português/ Alemão) e Flores da Cunha (Português/ Italiano). Apesar dos contatos lingüísticos, das distânciasgeográfica e das diferenças culturais, a fala dessas comunidades mostrou-se muito similar. A análise estatística (VARBRUL) revelou índices semeslhantes de ordem V nas quatro comunidades (aproximadamente 5% das sentenças com sujeito preenchido) e resultads muito similares quanto à significância estatística dos grupos de fatores investigados (tipo de verbo, forma do SN, animacidade, status informacional, extensão do SN, entre outras). Esses resultados são consistentes com os de outros estudos ( Lira, 1982; Naro & Votre, 1986; Berlinck, 1989)

Analysing VARSUL data, Verb-Subject order is investigated in the speech of Rio Grande do Sul, considering Porto Alegre and three communities with language contact: São Borja (Portuguese/Spanish), Panambi (Portuguese/German), and Flores da Cunha(Portuguese/Italian). Despite language contacts, geographical distances, and cultural differences, the speech of these communities has proven to be very similar. VARBRUL analyses showed the same amount of VS order in the four communities (about only 5% of the sentences with phonological material in subject position) and very similar results concerning the statistical significance of the factor groups investigated ( verb type, NP form, animacity, informational status, number of words in the NO< among others); These results are consistent with those found in other studies (Lira, 1982; Naro & Vtre, 1986; Berlinck, 1989).
