Economia da cultura e desenvolvimento urbano : o caso do Museu do Amanhã na cidade do Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

O presente trabalho buscou analisar os impactos que a revitalização da zona portuária do Rio de Janeiro e, principalmente, o Museu do Amanhã causam na economia urbana da cidade. O fortalecimento da cultura é uma forma de ampliar os limites que vive a população local, além de possibilitar que estes se conectem com diferentes formas de linguagem e expressão da criatividade humana. Isso ocorre quando a cultura é refletida na personalidade do povo daquela região, tornando-se parte de sua identidade. Para realizar a avaliação deste impacto foi realizada a revisão de teorias acerca de tópicos sobre a cultura em um contexto econômico e social dentro da dinâmica urbana das cidades, em especial na cidade do Rio de Janeiro com o Museu do Amanhã. Objetivou-se, assim, a verificação dos efeitos desta revitalização na sociedade. Ações realizadas pelo museu possibilitam o acesso à cultura, educação, formação profissional, promoção à inovação e ao empreendedorismo para a comunidade o local, bem como serve de inspiração aos visitantes de outras localidades. Estas ações, além de inserirem a população numa plataforma educacional e cultural, integram a comunidade ao museu ao invés de segregá-los. Identificou-se ainda, a geração de empregos tanto na construção quanto na preservação desta revitalização. Tendo em vista que o empreendimento possui menos de dois anos, não se conseguiu avaliar com exatidão o impacto que o Museu do Amanhã causa na cidade. Entretanto, fica o anseio para que resultados satisfatórios sejam verificados na sociedade como um todo nos próximos anos, trazendo benefícios permanentes à comunidade.

The present work sought to analyze the impacts that the revitalization of the port area of Rio de Janeiro and especially the Museum of Tomorrow cause in the urban economy of the city. The strengthening of culture is a way of extending the limits of the local population, as well as enabling them to connect with different forms of language and expression of human creativity. This occurs when culture is reflected in the personality of the people of that region, becoming part of its identity. In order to carry out the evaluation of this impact, a review of theories about topics on culture was carried out in an economic and social context within the urban dynamics of cities, especially in the city of Rio de Janeiro with the Museum of Tomorrow. The objective was, therefore, to verify the effects of this revitalization on society. Actions carried out by the museum allow access to culture, education, professional training, promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship for the local community, as well as being an inspiration to visitors from other locations. These actions, besides inserting the population in an educational and cultural platform, integrate the community to the museum instead of segregating them. It was also identified, the generation of jobs both in construction and in the preservation of this revitalization. Considering that the enterprise has less than two years, it was not possible to evaluate with exactitude the impact that the Museum of Tomorrow causes in the city. However, there is the desire for satisfactory results to be verified in society as a whole in the coming years, bringing permanent benefits to the community.
