| pt_BR |
dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Individuals who have mechanical oropharyngeal dysphagia can undergo a series of significant implications on general health. It is observed in the scientific community that, although addressed effectively and efficiently, the scientific evidence concerning the rehabilitation of these individuals is restricted. Objective: To assess the scientific evidence of rehabilitation in subjects with mechanical oropharyngeal dysphagia in the scientific community. Data analysis: A systematic review using the following databases: PubMed, SciELO, EMBASE , CINAHL/Ebsco, CAPES journals, scientific studies about rehabilitation in mechanical oropharyngeal dysphagia limited to studies performed in adult patients, middle-aged and elderly, published between 2000-2013. We identified 2.790 articles. Following the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 25 studies were selected by reviewers, and later refined by a judge, remaining 5 studies. With a final analysis, the reviewers selected four articles with possible scientific evidence. Out of these four compiled articles, no scientific evidence was found among them. Conclusion: Although the studies evaluated were well delineated, and the use of techniques for rehabilitation proven effective in most cases, none of the studies analyzed have relevance to the present research, for they have not presented any scientific evidence. | en |
