dc.description.abstract | Androgenic alopecia is a disease that leads to miniaturization of the hair follicle, whose most common treatment is the use of topical formulations containing minoxidil. The methods present in British and American pharmacopoeias are difficult to apply, and the Brazilian Pharmacopoeia does not describe an analytical methodology for this drug. Thus, it became necessary to develop and validate an quantitative method by HPLC for minoxidil analysis. The method used phenyl column and mobile phase consisted by a mixture of potassium phosphate buffer (0.36% triethylamine) and acetonitrile. The validation of the method has provenits specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy and robustness. | en |
