Trata-se de um estudo transversal com o objetivo de descrever a carga de trabalho em uma unidade de internação de pacientes hospitalizados por convênios do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre. Trata-se de um estudo transversal com o objetivo de descrever a carga de trabalho em uma unidade de internação de pacientes hospitalizados por convênios do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre. O tempo despendido pela equipe de enfermagem foi aferido de forma indireta por meio da Nursing Activities Score (NAS) e, de forma direta pelo o Sistema de Classificação de Pacientes de Perroca (SCP). O SCP classifica os pacientes conforme a necessidade de cuidados de enfermagem em cuidados mínimos, intermediários, semi-intensivos e intensivos. O SCP de Perroca apontou uma frequência de 61 pacientes (76,25%) com necessidade de cuidados intermediários e 19 (23,75%) de cuidados semi-intensivos. A NAS indicou pontuação média de 27,43 ± 5,17 pontos para cuidados intermediários, equivalente à 6,58 horas e para a categoria de pacientes semi-intensivos, a NAS indicou pontuação de 34,63 ± 6,91, equivalente à necessidade 8,31 horas por paciente, por dia, respectivamente. Concluiu-se que a utilização destes dois instrumentos contribuiu para conhecer o tempo necessário para o cuidado dos pacientes conforme o grau de complexidade e que essas informações poderão vir a subsidiar programas para melhoria das condições de trabalho e qualificação da assistência. ...
