A experiência militar israelense e a doutrina da batalha aeroterrestre

Abstract

Este trabalho trata de um estudo prospectivo acerca das semelhanças entre a experiência militar israelense e o proposto na Doutrina da Batalha AeroTerrestre (ALB). A operacionalização do conceito de ALB será obtida através da análise da Guerra do Golfo (1991), o primeiro exemplo de aplicação da ALB pelos EUA. Daí pretende-se construir uma tipologia, mas que distingua variáveis e indicadores que permitam a comparação desta com as experiências israelenses anteriores: A Guerra do Yom Kippur de 1973 e a Guerra do Líbano de 1982. Espera-se com isso responder à seguinte pergunta: existem semelhanças entre a experiência militar de Israel e o proposto pela formulação doutrinária estadunidense (Batalha AeroTerrestre) e a prática da guerra no Golfo em 1991? A hipótese principal da pesquisa responde positivamente a pergunta, acrescentando que a experiência militar de Israel em 1973 se aproximou dos marcos gerais do debate doutrinário nos EUA, enquanto a Guerra de 1982 se aproximou da posição de Starry neste debate, que se estendeu entre 1976 e 1986.

This monography focuses on a prospective study about the israeli military experience's similarities with what’s suggested in the AirLand Battle (ALB) Doctrine. The ALB concept will be operationalized trough the analysis of the 1991 Gulf War, first example of the use, by the USA, of the ALB. With this analysis, one intends to form a typology, in wich variables are discerned, in order to allow one to compare the Gulf War with the previous Israeli experiences: the Yom Kippur War (1973) and the Lebanon War (1982). With this typology, one intends to answer the following problem: “are there similarities between the israeli military experience and the doctrinal formulation in the USA (AirLand Battle) and, thus, the 1991 Gulf War?” The main hypothesis answers positively to this question, adding that Israel's experience in 1973 approached the main guidelines of the doctrinal debate in the USA, while the 1982 War approached Starry's stance in this same debate, that endured between 1976 and 1986.
