O futebol em Ijuí : uma análise das relações entre a cidade e o Esporte Clube São Luiz

Abstract

O futebol é cada vez mais motivo de estudos na área sociológica. Muitos trabalhos analisam a presença do torcedor no estádio, a paixão e o pertencimentoclubístico, as torcidas organizadas, entre outros temas. Porém, a grande maioria destes projetos se direcionam as grandes capitais do futebol nacional e as torcidas das maiores equipes do país. No entanto, o futebol, um dos elementos centrais da nossa cultura, é praticado em todo o Brasil. Manifestações de grande relevância acontecem a todo o momento, nas arquibancadas e nas ruas em inúmeras cidades onde o futebol é praticado. Assim, direciono este estudo para Ijuí, cidade do interior gaúcho onde o futebol tem grande importância para a comunidade. O presente estudo tem como objetivo, compreender como se manifesta e como é construída a relação entre os ijuienses, o Esporte Clube São Luiz e a cidade de Ijuí, respondendo também, como o ato torcer para o São Luiz consolida um sentimento de identidade com a cidade. Para encontrar estas respostas utilizei diferentes metodologias. Além de buscar auxilio na literatura, analisei documentos, jornais e sites, entrevistei pessoas e observei os jogos do clube do estádio 19 de Outubro. Desta maneira fui capaz de encontrar e descrever situações que mostram como estas relações acontecem, dando visibilidade a um futebol desconhecidos por muitas pessoas: o futebol no interior. Neste local não são poucas as particularidades e manifestações importantes para melhor compreender o quanto um esporte pode representar para uma cidade e sua comunidade.

Football is becoming a popular reason for studies in the sociological area. Many studies analyze the presence of peoples in stadium, the passion and the passion for one team. However these studies are made in big cities of Brazil, which has the best football clubs of the country, and its big crowd. But football, one important element of the national culture, is played in the whole country. Manifestations with big relevance happens all the time, in bleachers and in the streets of many cities where football is played. In this way, I do this work in Ijuí, inner city in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, where football is very important for the local community. This study has the objective to understand how is made and expressed the relation between the ijuienses, the EsporteClubeSão Luiz and the city, also answering how the act of cheer for São Luiz consolidates a sense of identity with the city. To find these answers I used different methodologies. In addition, besides seeking assistance in literature, I analyzed documents, sites and newspapers. People were interviewed, and I watched some matches in stadium 19 de Outubro. This way, I was able to find and describe some situations that shows how these relations occur, giving visibility to unknown football to many people: football in small cities. In this place has particularities and important expressions related to football that help us to a better understanding of how much one sport can represent to one city and its community.
