| pt_BR |
dc.description.abstract | This study, which is connected to the project “Leitor, tradutor, autor: A tradução como leitura e exercício autoral”, aims at making a comparative analysis of two translations from English to Portuguese of The Nightingale and the Rose, by Oscar Wilde, published in 1888: Bárbara Heliodora’s and Sigrid Renaux’s. The evident differences between the translations encourage the analysis of the influences that interfere in creation of the text. This study goes beyond the comparison between the words each professional used, prevailing the analysis of the reader-translator-author relation in light of The Open Work concept, according to which the text would offer different interpretive paths to be taken by each reader individually; and of the Model Reader concept, according to which the elaboration of the text would direct the reading to a certain interpretation and to a specific reader. | en |
