The advantage of playing at home and their influence on the outcome of matches in the sports of various types is a subject that has aroused much interest in researchers in recent years. However we found few studies on this subject in volleyball, so it is important check if there is the presence of home advantage in this sport and their implications in the actions of the game. Thus the objective of this study is to analyze the existence of an advantage playing at home (Home Advantage) in Brazilian women's volleyball and their influence in certain game's actions. The sample consists of 324 analyzed games twice (noting that the team played at home and visiting team) obtained from the analysis of the statistical report of each game, official statistics generated by the competition and published on the website of CBV. We analyzed the following events that punctuate the game of Volleyball: serve, attack, blocking and opponent's error. In order to check which actions most frequently have association with win / lose at home or as a visitor. In the statistical procedures, we used the mean and standard deviation. To test the association between different parameters of analysis, we used by chi-square (X2). Already in the comparisons between the scores’ average in the actions and location (home - visitor) appealed to the independent T-Test. We used a multiple linear regression (MLR) to determine the contribution of actions in the final outcome of the game for the home teams. The level of significance was 5% and the software used for statistical analysis was SPSS v.18. The results show that in volleyball there is the advantage of playing at home. 54.6% of the victories were obtained by the teams of the house. Moreover, among the actions of the game that contribute most to the victory of the home team, we have the blocking, as the most significant, followed by the attack and serve points.en
