Com o que sonha a cidade-dormitório : reflexões sobre o Parque da Solidariedade

Abstract

Este artigo propõe-se a divulgar ações que se dão sobre uma área urbana em disputa, localizada em Alvorada, uma cidade com a alcunha de cidade-dormitório, na região da chamada Grande Porto Alegre. Desde 2015 ações sistemáticas como mutirões de limpeza, ações artísticas e educativas, são praticadas sobre esta área e, juntas, prefiguram um território que se articula entre três entidades já constituídas: o Parque da Solidariedade, o Cine Tapycuru e o Museu Baldio, às quais se agrega o trabalho educativo da ONG Umbúntu, materializada em sua horta e sede. O artigo propõe uma reflexão sobre o papel da arte na instauração de um campo que se impõe politicamente, pressionando as estruturas convencionais preexistentes.

This article proposes to publicize actions that take place in an urban area in dispute, located in Alvorada and nicknamed a dormitory 2022361city in the region called Greater Porto Alegre. Since 2015 systematic actions such as cleaning efforts, artistic and educational actions have been carried out in this area and, together, prefigure a territory that articulates between three already constituted entities: the Solidarity Park, the Cine Tapycuru and the Baldio Museum to which the educational work of the NGO Umbúntu is added, materialized in its vegetable garden and headquarters. The article proposes a reflection on the role of art in the establishment of a field that imposes itself politically, putting pressure on pre-existing conventional structures.
