Fontes alternativas e renováveis para geração de energia elétrica

Abstract

Durante o último século e início deste, o mundo tornou-se dependente, em grande escala, de combustíveis oriundos do petróleo, que além de não ser uma fonte renovável, está sujeito a problemas com o fornecimento e preços supervalorizados por crises políticas e econômicas. Dessa forma, o objetivo do trabalho é apresentar o atual cenário energético nacional e expor alternativas renováveis para a geração de energia elétrica juntamente com as tecnologias empregadas para este fim. Técnicas de exploração e aproveitamento de Energia Eólica, PCHs (Pequenas Centrais Hidrelétricas) e Biomassa são explanadas ao longo do trabalho e por último é proposta uma alternativa para o atendimento à demanda energética do estado do Rio Grande do Sul.

During the last century and the beginning of this, the world became dependent on largescale fuel from oil, which in addition to being a renewable resource, is subject to problems with the supply and prices overvalued by political and economic crisis. Thus, the objective of this work, besides presenting the current national energy scenario, renewable alternatives are exposed to electric power generation along with the technologies employed for this purpose. Techniques of exploration and exploitation for wind power, small hydro (small hydroelectric plants) and biomass are explained throughout the work and ultimately be offered an alternative to meet the energy demand of the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
