Tipos de narrador na ficção escocesa contemporânea de Irvine Welsh e James Kelman

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar diferentes tipos de narrador em excertos dos textos literários dos autores escoceses Irvine Welsh e James Kelman. Os autores são muito aclamados, fazem parte da assim chamada Renascença escocesa na literatura, e suas obras levantam a discussão sobre o tipo de narrador. O estudo será baseado nas reflexões de teóricos da narratologia que investigaram a questão do narrador/focalizador, tal como Gérard Genette e sua então inovadora obra, Discours du Récit e a partir dela.

The aim of this work is to analyze different types of narrator in excerpts from literary texts by Scottish authors Irvine Welsh and James Kelman. These authors are highly acclaimed writers from the so-called Scottish Renaissance and their works of fiction, in general, raise the discussion about the narrator. We will base our study on the insights from narratology theorists who investigated the problem of the narrator/focalizes, such as Gérard Genette and his innovative Discours Du Récit and so on.
