dc.description.abstractTrata-se de um estudo piloto de caráter exploratório sobre a aptidão física relacionada à saúde em escolares do sul do Brasil na faixa etária entre 7 a 17 anos. A amostra é constituída por 6080 escolares do sexo masculino e 5887 escolares femininos estratificados por idade e sexo selecionados por procedimento aleatório por conglomerados nos respectivos municípios de origem. Foram avaliados; o IMC; a Flexibilidade através do teste "sentar-e-alcançar"; a Força- resistência abdominal pelo número de repetições em 1 minuto; A Força-resistência de membros superiores pelo número de flexões na "barra modificada", e a Resistência geral pelo teste dos 9 minutos. Os critérios de referência foram para o IMC os sugeridos por Schieri e Allan (1996); e para os demais testes os critérios Fitnessgram. Os resultados revelam que 15% da população masculina e 10% da população feminina estão com indicadores de sobrepeso e obesidade; 23% da população masculina e 28% da feminina estão a baixo da Zona Saudável de Aptidão Física (ZSApF) para a prova de "sentar-e alcançar"; 36% da população masculina e 53% da feminina estão abaixo da ZSApF para a prova de abdominais; 26% da população masculina e 38 da feminina estão abaixo da ZSApF para a prova da barra modificada e 31% da população masculina e 41 da feminina estão abaixo da ZSApF para a prova dos 9 minutos.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractIt is a pilot study of exploratory character about the physical fitness related to health in youth students of the south of Brazil in the age group among 7 to 17 years. The sample is constituted by 6080 students of the masculine sex and 5887 students of feminine sex gathered by age and sex selected by aleatory procedure by conglomerate in the respective origin municipal districts. Were appraised: Body Mass Index; Flexibility through the test of Sit and Reach; Abdominal Force and Resistance througth the test of Sit Up's in 1 minute; Superior Members Force and Resistance througth the test of Modified Pull Up's, and General Resistance througth the test of 9 Minutes Run. The reference approaches were suggested to Body Mass Index by Schieri and Allan (1996); and for the other tests the approaches were suggested by Fitnessgram.The results reveal that 15% of the masculine population and 10% of the feminine population are with overweight and obesity indicators; 23% of the masculine population and 28% of the feminine are below of the Healthy Zone of Physical Fitness (HZPF) for the test of Sit and Reach; 36% of the masculine population and 53% of the feminine are below the HZPF for the test of Sit Up's; 26% of the masculine population and 38 of the feminine are below HZPF for the test of Modified Pull Up's and 31 % of the masculine population and 41 % of the feminine are below the HZPF for the test of 9 Minutes Run.en
