dc.description.abstractEquinocandins is a new class of antifungic used for systemic infection. The anidulafungin is a new equinocandin that has fungicide activity against Candida spp. and fungistatic activity against Aspergillus spp. There is not microbiological assay about the potency of anidulafungin in papers. The aim of this study is develop and validate a microbiological assay to determine the potency of anidulafungin. The parametres analyzed during the validation was linearity (r=0.992), precision (DPR < 5%), accuracy (99.4%) and specificity. The results show that the method is suitable to quality control.en
