Maternidade : temas veiculados nas revistas Atrevida e Capricho

Abstract

Esse estudo teve por objetivo conhecer e analisar as representações culturais de maternidade nas revistas Capricho e Atrevida, ambas dirigidas ao público adolescente. Pretendeu-se ainda, compreender o que é divulgado ao público adolescente em relação ao tema proposto e discutir-se sobre a abordagem mais coerente com o contexto de meninas-mães. Para a análise dos textos, utilizou-se o referencial teórico dos Estudos Culturais. Nesse enfoque encontraram-se dois grandes temas: a negação da maternidade na adolescente e a representação de mãe nas revistas.

This study aims at finding out and analyzing the cultural representations of meternity in "Capricho" and "Atrevida" magazines, both of wich have adolescents as target readers. It was also intended to understand what, in relation to the proposed subject, is communicated to adolescents, and to discuss the most coherent approaches to the teenage mother's context. The theorical perspective used to analyze the texts was that of cultural studies. In that sense, two important themes were found: the negation of teenage maternity and the representation of "mothers" in magazines.
