dc.description.abstractO crescimento desproporcional de Cingapura em relação a outros países chama a atenção de estudiosos da macroeconomia que buscam encontrar os principais motivos para tamanho sucesso. Mesmo sendo uma nação bastante jovem, Cingapura hoje possui uma das maiores rendas per capita do mundo e elevados níveis de desenvolvimento humano. Grande parte deste êxito deve-se ao fato de crescer expressivamente ao longo dos seus 50 anos de independência. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar os principais fatores que contribuíram para o crescimento de Cingapura baseado nas teorias de crescimento econômico e apresentando os pontos macroeconômicos estruturais do país. Por fim é feito uma análise empírica para encontrar os valores aproximados de cada fator contributivo e medir a evolução de produtividade. Os resultados encontrados mostram que a produtividade de Cingapura cresceu modestamente ao longo do período analisado e o fator que maior contribuiu para o crescimento econômico foi o capital humano.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractThe disproportionate growth of Singapore when compared to other countries draws attention of macroeconomics scholars who seek to find the main reasons for such success. Despite being a fairly young nation, Singapore now has one of the highest per capita incomes in the world and high levels of human development. Much of this success is due to the fact grow significantly over the 50 years of independence. This study aims to analyze the main factors that contributed to the growth of Singapore in compliance with the theories of economic growth and presenting structural macroeconomic parts of the country. Finally it is made an empirical analysis to find approximate values of each contributory factor and measure the evolution of productivity. The results show that the productivity of Singapore grew modestly over the analysis period and the biggest factor that contributed to the economic growth is human capital.en
