From B and V photographic surface photometry we have obtained photometric parameters, mean luminosity profiles, and B- V color indices for the barred spiral galaxy NGC 4507. The decomposition of the mean-luminosity B profile shows the existence of an r 1/4 bulge, an exponential disk, a bar, and possibly a lens. The dimensions and colors of these structures are derived. The mean B- V distribution shows a color gra dient of 0.4 mag between the nucleus and arms region. A reddening of E(B- V) = 0.2-0.3 of the southern region can be detected when we compare its B- V values with those of the northern region.pt_BR
