Abstract in Portuguese (Brasil)
Abstract
This paper proposes a method for optimizing the electrical energy contracted capacity of large consumers, which aims to reduce the costs associated with this resource. The study was developed through the combination of techniques such as quantitative forecasting, qualitative adjustment and numerical optimization involving financial simulation, whose integration enables finding the contracted capacity that generates the lowest expected cost in a 12-month perspective. Three consumers of different ...
Three consumers of different sizes were analyzed, revealing potential savings between 0.60% and 8.18%, due to overestimation of the values currently contracted. The proposed method differs from other approaches presented in the literature since it aims to reduce the cost of the upcoming capacities of the consumer unit, while most of other methods estimate the contracted demand that would have generated the lowest cost in the past, which is a less useful information from the management viewpoint. ...
